National conference, 9 May 2007, Wroclaw
The conference focused on practices supporting students with disabilities in higher education. The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss recent activities undertaken by different groups of students at Polish academia. The conference was designed as a forum for sharing preliminary research on disability issues common to learning institutions. The obstacles to learning for students with disabilities are multifaceted. They can by logistical and architectural, but they also include lack of Sign-language interpreters or note-taking sevices as well as lack of awarenses on the part of inctructors and university administration.
