April – December 2007

The project „Hard of Hearing Young People – developing strategies on access to equal participation, social inclusion and protection of human rights” is supported by European Youth Foundation (EYF) which is a part of Council of Europe (CoE). The research is made within the campaign: „All Different-All Equal”. The research will focus on social inclusion and human rights of hard of hearing young people and deal with discrimination and access in the areas of education, employment and society.

Process of realisation:

  • The team will develop questionnaire with the involvement of expert.
  • Find national coordinators, who will translate and spread questionnaire to hard of hearing young people in their countries. The questionnaire should be filled in by people in the age 14-35 years old and should have an even representation according to sexes, actual situation (student or employed).
  • The questionnaires will be sent out to approximately 15 countries. In total, 2000 questionnaires will be distributed for all countries. Depending on size of population the countries will be divided in three groups (big population: 150 questionnaires, medium population: 100 questionnaires and small population: 50 questionnaires).
  • Questionnaires will be spread and filled: a) online on a website; b) through a form sent by email; c) through a paper form.
  • The answers will be collected and analysed by the expert.
  • When results are collected and analysed, a report will be written and sent to the European Youth Foundation. The results will also be published in magazines and scientific publications. National coordinators are expected to promote the publication with research results in their country.
